Smoothie Shortcuts That Save You Time
Smoothies are a delicious and nutritious way for you to get the vitamins and minerals that your body needs to remain healthy, but preparing them can be a long and arduous task. When trying to prepare a smoothie, you can run into a number of problems, including not having all of the ingredients you need, difficult prep work, and annoying clean up tasks afterward.
Streamlining the process of creating your smoothies will make everything much easier and will increase the chances that you will continue to make smoothies on a regular basis. Here are some great shortcuts that can save you time and energy when making your smoothies.
Prepare In Advance And Freeze
A good time saving trick is to prepare the ingredients or the actual smoothies in advance and freeze them until they are needed. You can spend time during the weekend preparing, chopping and measuring the fruits and vegetables that you intend to use to make smoothies during the week and freeze them in individual portions so you can just grab, blend, and go during the week when you do not have much time to spare. You can also pre-blend the smoothies and freeze the mixture in muffin tins for premeasured portions that are ready in a flash.
Blend To Clean
One of the easiest ways to clean your blender after making a smoothie is to blend a mixture of dish soap and water at both low and high speeds. The soap and water will create a froth that will loosen the smoothie residue from the sides and blades of the blender. The blender can then be rinsed thoroughly and set to dry for its next use.
