Juicing vegetables is an excellent means of getting the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants you need on a regular basis because it is a significant raw food source. Even if broccoli bothers you to eat drinking it as a juice should be less of a problem. The chlorophyll in it helps the body to regulate blood sugar and insulin. If you do not enjoy the taste of raw broccoli juice on its own then combine it with a little bit of tomato juice for added flavor.


Celery is very cleansing and detoxifying and is instrumental in ridding uric acid from the digestive system. This should be your vegetable of choice for juicing if you suffer from gout. Celery is capable of reducing blood pressure because it is high in the mineral potassium. It has a diuretic effect on the body which makes it a wise choice for anyone who suffers from bloating. Celery helps to rid the body of toxins and waste products. When juicing celery do not just use the stalks but also the tops as well because also contain potassium.


Carrots are full of nutrients and make an excellent choice for a juicing vegetable. They are high in beta carotene which is good for the skin, the brain and the immune system. Carrots can also help to fight cancer, can fight off infections and can protect the arteries. They also can help to get rid of bacteria in the colon. Carrots have also been shown through research studies to eliminate intestinal parasites. When combined with apples this juice is a nutrient powerhouse. Apple carrot juice may sound a little odd but it is a winner for your health!

Sweet Potatoes

It may surprise you that a sweet potato can be juiced but it can. Sweet potatoes are so good for your health! They are excellent sources of vitamin C, beta carotene, vitamin B6, fiber, copper, iron, manganese and potassium. They also contain anti-inflammatory properties and can aid those who suffer from joint and muscle problems such as arthritis and other forms of inflammation.
