If you’re reading this article, then congratulations on using juicing as a tool for weight loss! Juicing is a very effective and easy way to stay healthy and has seen a recent surge since the Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead documentary came out.

Juicing helps you keep cravings at bay, and is a great way to meet your daily fruit and vegetable quota. One great aspect about juicing is how many different flavors you can make from various combinations of vegetables. However, many people dislike pure vegetable because the drink is not as sweet. Rest assured, there are recipes that don’t wind up tasting like fresh cut grass. Here are some of our favorite vegetable juicing recipes for weight loss.

Vitamin C Punch

Celery, spinach, kale and parsley are loaded with vitamin C, among many other nutrients. This recipe is perfect if you’re fighting a cold or just want to keep your immune system up.

  • 2 cups of spinach
  • 3 kale leaves
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 2 celery stalks
  • handful of parsley stalks
  • 1 tablespoon stevia

Runner’s Beet

Beet’s have long since been a favorite of endurance athletes. Beets are loaded with nitric oxide, which increases your red blood cell count and the amount of oxygen your body can use. This is a fantastic pre-workout energizer.

  • 2 beets
  • 3 cabbage leaves
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 2 handfuls of spinach
  • 2 collard leaves

Tart Spicy Punch

Mexican food lovers can rejoice on this one. The jalapeno adds a kick, but not so much that it’s undrinkable. The ginger root provides its own kick, as well as many powerful antioxidants that promote well-being. The tart spicy punch is one of our favorite dessert alternatives.

  • 2 beet roots
  • 3 medium carrots
  • Finger sized ginger root
  • 3 kale leaves
  • 1 medium jalapeno

Lean Green Machine

Spinach and kale are two leafy greens that are loaded with protein. This recipe is a must for anyone who’s serious about toning up. Stevia helps keep the lawn clipping taste at bay.

  • 3 medium carrots
  • 2 handfuls of spinach
  • 3 kale leaves
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • handful of fresh parley
  • 1 tablespoon stevia

Cancer’s Bane

Garlic, Ginger, Kale, and Broccoli have been shown to have various anti-tumor properties time and time again. This juicing recipe won’t cure cancer, but it sure will help keep it at bay with its cocktail of powerful antioxidants.

  • 2 medium carrots
  • 2 cups of spinach
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Finger sized ginger root
  • 3 kale leaves
  • 2 heads of broccoli
  • 1 tablespoon stevia

These are some of my favorite drinks right now.  I especially like the kick of the tart spicy punch.  I personally use the Omega J8004 to make all of my favorites.  I bought it when it first came out and it almost cost $500 but now that it is older you can pick it up for right around $200.

As you get more into juicing you are going to want a masticating juicer.  It preserves the enzymes and vitamins much better than the high speeds and friction of the centrifugal typesDo your research as always, but as soon as you can afford a masticating machine it is well worth taking the plunge.
