Super Bowl Party Juice

super bowl juice recipes

With the super bowl quickly approaching, you can almost taste the excitement in the air as people begin to plan their super bowl parties. You can almost taste the alcohol, too, since many super bowl parties are stocked with drinks. Drinking too much alcohol can set back any gains you might’ve made with your new juicing diet. Luckily for you, you can use your juicer to make healthier and tastier alternatives to common alcoholic drinks. Freshly juiced cocktails have the added bonus of being fraught with nutrients that help stave away your hangover. All you have to do is add alcohol. Here’s a list of juice you can create at your next super bowl party These drinks are best served chilled.

A margarita is a classic drink borrowed from our neighbors down south. Cheering on your team is thirsty work, we know. More often than not, a refreshing margarita is exactly what you need to quench that thirst. For extra presentation points, line the rim of your glass with salt. Makes 2 servings

  • 1/4 of a watermelon
  • 1/4 of a pineapple
  • 2 whole limes
  • 2 kale leaves

Bloody Mary

A Bloody Mary is a timeless classic for those who prefer a savory drink over a sweeter drink. You can choose not to use the jalapeno if spicy drinks aren’t your thing. I like to serve this drink with a celery stalk thrown in as a “stirring rod”. Makes 2 servings

  • 3 tomatoes
  • A handful of radishes
  • One seeded jalapeno
  • 1/2 onion
  • 4 celery stalks

Halftime Sangria

Enjoying a refreshing sangria during halftime is something every football fan should experience. This fruity drink is simple to make and looks best when garnished with a wedge of lemon. A word of caution, however, the sweetness of this drink can mask the alcohol content. Makes 2 servings

  • 1/4 of a watermelon
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 orange
  • 1 lime
  • 1 lemon

Super-Punch Bowl

Nothing says super bowl party like a big punch bowl at the center of your table. Once you’ve made all the juice, simply add alcohol and stir. This one will serve 7+ people, so make sure you have a large container to collect all the juice. For an added bonus  slice up fruit and throw it in the punch bowl.

  • 4 apples
  • 4 oranges
  • 3 peaches
  • 5 large carrots
  • Whole pineapple
  • Small, seedless watermelon
  • 3 limes

Apple Martini

Fresh apples in a martini beat the processed sugar you find in typical martinis any day. This drink is always a hit when you have your friends’ wives over. This is a recipe best made to order, since the apple juice can turn an unappealing brown after a few hours. Makes 2 servings

  • 4 green apples
  • cup of spinach
  • 1 lime
