Juicing with Organic Fruits and Vegetables

Juicing with fruits and vegetables is a healthy way to get your daily share of nutrients and it is a creative twist on eating right! Making your own fruit and vegetable juices is healthy but what is even better is to juice with organic fruits and vegetables.

Organic Produce Industry

juice organicOn a global level the industry that surrounds organic fruits and vegetables is expanding at a rapid rate. Since 1998 the organic juice market in Europe has expanded over 29 percent on an annual basis. The German and Italian organic fruits and vegetables industries have also seen a tremendous growth spurt. The United States is catching up at well. The reason for this is because organic produce is much more readily available than it was in years past. It is at the supermarkets, the local farmers’ markets and at fruit and vegetable stands set up on the side of the road! You may even know people who grow their own organic produce.

Organic juices are healthier and more natural than juices made from non-organic produce. Not only that but the taste phenomenal! If you love strawberries for instance than you will fall instantly in love with fresh organic strawberry juice! Umm, umm, good!

If you are wondering what organic juices are most often made in a juicer then the answer is apple and orange. But there is also pear juice, peach juice and strawberry kiwi juice, etc.  But let us not forget the vegetables. There is carrot juice, green juice and beet juice and so on. Some organic juices made at home in a juicer taste better but you can experiment with different flavors to find out what tastes the most delicious to you.

Veggies and fruits are good for you in so many ways. They are high in nutrients and antioxidants and do everything from protect your heart to keep your teeth and gums healthy. Organic fruits and vegetables that are juiced contain large amounts of vitamins, enzymes, minerals, bioflavonoids, and other types of nutrients. Many of each are high in vitamin C, beta-carotene, folate, fiber and potassium. You need all of these substances to be healthy.

Natural Equals Freshly Squeezed Juice

When you are strolling through the aisles of the grocery store you may see labels on juices that claim that they are natural or healthy or free of additives. Don’t be fooled by that. The only type of natural freshly squeezed juice around is juice that has just been made in a juicer that has only been made a few minutes before you consume it.

Both fruit and veggie juices that have just been made are an excellent source of bio-available vitamins and minerals as well as enzymes and co-enzymes. Vitamins are needed to activate enzymes. If vitamins are not present then enzymes are not able to work properly. We all need active enzymes to be healthy and indeed to live.

Enzymes are required for digestion to take place. They are also needed for metabolism and for absorbing foods and then converting them into something the bodily tissues can use.

When organic juices are introduced into the body a larger percentage of the vitamins and minerals are able to be absorbed in comparison to if the foods were to be eaten whole. The reason for this is because a certain amount of the nutrients become trapped in the fiber when fruits and vegetables are eaten whole.

This is broken down when the foods are juiced and you benefit from the added fiber. The more fiber your body receives through the juice you drink the better this is for proper bowel function.
