Drinking some of the vitamin and mineral content you require to be healthy is smart because it is very easy for the body to digest.

The more you can reduce eating fatty foods that are greasy and full of sodium the easier it will be for your liver to return to a healthier state. Once it is healthier than it will do its job in a much more effective manner and in turn your other organs will have less stress put upon them.

Some of the best choices include alfalfa, astralagus, burdock root, cayenne, chicory, dandelion root, garlic, lemon balm, licorice, milk thistle, nettle, parsley, rosemary, turmeric and yellow dock.

Here are a few recipes worth trying for your liver:


2 kale leaves

6 spinach leaves

1 beet (you can use the tops too if you want)

1 dandelion leaf (you can also get this in herbal tincture form)

You can add two tbsp. of blackstrap molasses if you like for additional taste and nutrition.


2 large tomatoes

2 carrots

1 beet

1/4 cup of cranberries


3 apples

1 handful of parsley

1 handful of alfalfa
