Juicing Recipes for Cleansing and Weight Loss

Many people miss the most important element of juicing however which is that it helps to increase the intake of essential nutrients. Many people do not consume as many fruits and vegetables as they should on a daily basis. This can be detrimental to your health as you need all that fruits and veggies have to offer.

The USDA recommends that everyone eat four to five servings of fruits and vegetables per day. If you are eating three servings of leafy green veggies on a daily and one or two pieces of fruit then you are making an effort in the right direction but you are not getting enough. When you start your own juicing regimen at home then you can increase your intake of fruits and vegetables. This can have a very good effect on your health. A juice cleanse can detoxify your cells and organs and can get rid of all of the waste products that contribute to your organs not working as effectively as they are supposed to.

Fruits and vegetables contain vitamins, minerals and fibers but they also contain other important substances for health such as antioxidants, probiotics, prebiotics and phytochemicals. All of these healthy substances work together to eliminate toxins from the body and to strengthen the immune system. Studies have shown that phytochemicals found in fruits and veggies can help to keep many diseases, such as various forms of cancer and diabetes at bay. They are also believed to be instrumental in preventing strokes.

A juice cleanse can improve the health of your body. If you have veered off course when it comes to nutrition then making your own juices can help to get you back on track. By increasing the amount of fruits and vegetables you consume you fortify yourself and you become stronger and more resilient against infections and diseases.

Recipe One

4 carrots

4 stalks celery

handful of parsley including the stems

1 small organic zucchini, chopped but not peeled

Juice together and then enjoy the natural cleansing drink.

Recipe Two

2 organic peaches, cut in half, seeds removed

1 organic apple

2 oranges, peeled

1/2 cup blueberries, raspberries, and/or blackberries

If you do not have a juicer then use a plastic citrus juicer for the citrus fruits and then blend the remainder of fruits in a regular blender. After you have blended all of the fruits together use a strainer to strain them or use cheesecloth to get as much juice from the mixture as you can.

Recipe Three

1 large pink grapefruit

1 large orange

3 tomatoes

1 cucumber

Juice the grapefruit and orange with a citrus juicer. Blend the tomatoes and the cucumber in a blender and strain the juice. Add the tomato and cucumber juice to the citrus juices and stir well.
