Having a cold is no fun. People that have a cold typically suffer from runny or stuffed noses raw from constant blowing, fevers, body aches, and lethargy. The symptoms can last for days or weeks depending on the severity of the cold.

Part of the reason we catch colds & flus is because our immune system is down. If you’re not eating healthfully and nourishing your body properly, you’re setting yourself up to be sick. To cure cold symptoms, the body needs a massive amount of nutrients and minerals to energize it enough to fight off the germs that are causing the cold.

Healing Cleanse Smoothie Recipe

This is a great recipe that will kill bacteria on its way down and lift your energy levels. It contains anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral ingredients.

1 Rib of Celery
1/4 Cucumber
1 handful of Parsley
1 handful of Cilantro
1 lemon, peeled
1 thumb print size of ginger root
1-2 cups of water
1/2 cup of Pineapple or Blueberries (frozen or fresh)

Directions

Process all ingredients in a blender, shake or stir and serve.

Cold & Flu Juice Recipe

Juicing vegetables is a great way to get the nutrition your body needs to ward off whatever is attacking your system. This juice recipe can help speed up the healing process.

1/2 Fennel Bulb
1 thumb print size of ginger root
1 thumb print size of turmeric root
1/2 cup purple or green cabbage
1 handful of parsley
1/2 green apple
