If your skin is looking a little dull and haggard these days then you need more silicon. This healthy substance is found in high concentrations in bell peppers, broccoli, cabbage and leafy greens. Carrots, cucumbers and ginger also promote the health and well-being of the skin.

Instead of spending money and time on facials fix your skin problems from the inside out with juicing. Try these juicing recipes to give your skin the rosy youthful glow that you have lost:

Skin Detox

  • (One serving about 8 ounces)
  • 6 carrots
  • ½ green bell pepper (or ½ handful of turnip greens)
  • Handful of kale
  • ½ handful of spinach

Trim the carrots and cut them into 2 to 3 inch pieces. Cut the green bell pepper into strips. Place all of the vegetables in your juicer and turn them into a healthy and nutritious drink!

Smooth Skin

  • (One serving about 8 ounces)
  • 5 carrots
  • 1 apple
  • ½ inch knob of ginger root

Trim the carrots and cut them into 2 to 3 inch pieces. Slice the apple into narrow wedges. Slice the ginger root and then place everything into the juicing machine.

Not only is this juicing recipe excellent for smooth elastic skin but it is also an energy booster and is also helpful for colds and bouts of nausea. The ginger gives it that little added something that makes it an excellent morning beverage!

Red, Sore Eyes Need Some Help?

Red eyes can make you look exhausted and can make you look older than your years. What you need is to consume more greens and carrots. You also should give this natural juicing remedy a try:

Clear and Wide Eyed

  • (One serving about 8 ounces)
  • 6 carrots
  • 1 large handful of kale (or you can use collard greens)
  • A few pieces of parsley

Trim the carrots and cut them into 2 to 3 inch pieces. Place all of the ingredients into your juicer and make your clear and wide eyed drink!
