Add Mango To Your Juice Recipes For These Body Benefits
In addition to being delicious, mangos are also good for you. There are many health benefits that can be obtained by consuming mangos or mango juice on a regular basis. Mangos are high in a number of antioxidant compounds that have been found to protect the body from several different types of cancer, including leukemia, colon, breast, and prostate cancers. Mangos are also full of enzymes that help aid in digestion and boost the immune system.
Mangos have also been found to help lower cholesterol levels due to the high levels of fiber and pectin in the fruits. Some people use mangos to help regulate the insulin levels in their blood. Because mangos have a relatively low glycemic index, they will not cause a blood sugar spike when consumed in moderate quantities.
Mangos have high levels of vitamin E, which is great for your hair, nails, and skin. People that consume these fruits regularly have clearer skin and fewer clogged pores. Mangos are also a good source of vitamin A, which helps with eyesight and preventing dry eyes.
Mangos are not for everyone. It is possible for someone that has a latex allergy to have an allergic reaction to the anacardic acid present in mangos. People who are sensitive to urushiol, the chemical in poison ivy and poison sumac that causes skin reactions, may have a reaction to the peel and sap of the mangos.
