Juice Recipes That Are Great For After A Workout

After a workout, a person is generally hot, sweaty and slightly dehydrated from the moisture lost during the workout. People often turn to a sports drink in these moments, consuming a number of artificial ingredients and preservatives along with the electrolytes their body craves. Others turn to drinking water, which rehydrates the body but does not replenish the vitamins and minerals used up during the workout.

To get the best of both worlds, you should rehydrate yourself with fresh juice created from fruits and vegetables that have been shown to rebuild the body. Many gyms have realized how good for the body fresh juice is and have included juice bars that juice fresh ingredients in their designs. There are a number of juice recipes you can use after a workout to replenish the nutrients you need for your body to be healthy. Here are some of my favorites.

Ultimate Revitalizer Juice Recipe

Ingredients

3 cucumbers
1 bunch celery
3 apples
1/2 inch ginger
1 lemon
1 cup spinach
Optional: Half a jalapeño

Directions

Wash all ingredients. Cut lemon in half. Cut off bottom of celery bunch so that all stalks are individual. Cut apples in half. Run all ingredients through a high powered juicer. Enjoy!

Romaine-Apple-Orange Juice Recipe

Ingredients

2 granny smith apples
2 stalks celery
1/2 cucumber
2 cups romaine lettuce
1 orange

Directions

Wash all ingredients. Cut apples in half. Process all ingredients in a juicer, shake or stir and serve.

Green Breakfast Juice Recipe

Ingredients

2 apples
3 carrots
1 cucumber
15 green grapes
1 sweet green pepper
2 cups spinach
1 tomato

Directions

Wash all ingredients. Cut apples in half. Process all ingredients in a juicer, shake or stir and serve.

Veggie Blueberry Juice Recipe

Ingredients

1 granny smith apple
1 cup blueberry
1 stalk broccoli
6 carrots
1 tomato

Directions

Wash all ingredients. Cut apples in half. Process all ingredients in a juicer, shake or stir and serve.
