Pumpkins are very popular in the United States, especially during the fall season. During Halloween, we carve them and roast their seeds. During Thanksgiving, we turn them into pies. Businesses jump on the pumpkin bandwagon, offering special varieties of their popular products in pumpkin flavors during the fall months. There are many different things that you can do with pumpkins, including juice them for a delicious, nutritious drink.

Pumpkin juice is a highly nutritious drink that is useful for the prevention of many common ailments. Pumpkin is a good source of vitamins A, C, and E, the B vitamins, and dietary fiber. Pumpkin contains high levels of potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, copper, manganese, sodium and zinc as well. It is also high in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties.

From a health perspective, pumpkin is a very valuable vegetable. Pumpkin juice has been found to be an innate diuretic, which helps flush toxins and useless waste materials out of the body. Consuming pumpkin has been found to reduce the risks of heart diseases and stroke. It has also been found to increase the production and performance of white blood cells, boosting the immune system.

Pumpkin Pie Juice Recipe

Ingredients

1 Pumpkin
3 Carrots
1 Apple
1/2″ thumb of Ginger

Process all ingredients in a juicer. Shake or stir and serve. You can also stir in some of your favorite spices, such as cinnamon, cloves, allspice and nutmeg.

Harry Potter Juice Recipe

Ingredients

1 Apple
2 Carrots
1/2 tsp Cinnamon (Ground)
2 cups Pineapple chunks
2 cups Pumpkin (1″ cubes)

Directions

Process all ingredients in a juicer, shake or stir and serve.

Pumpkin Colada Cream Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup Coconut Milk
1 Peach (pitted)
1 1/2 cups Pineapple chunks
2 cups Pumpkin (1″ cubes)
1/4 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice

Directions

Process peach, pineapple, and pumpkin in a juicer. Add coconut milk and pumpkin pie spice and shake or stir. Serve over ice.
