Fall Favorites: Juice Recipes Containing Apples

One of my favorite fall flavors is the taste of a crisp, juicy apple straight off of the tree. The local orchard situated about 20 minutes away from my home has pick-your-own days every weekend in the fall and my husband, my son, and I have always taken the opportunity to secure fresh apples during at least one weekend each fall. So what do I do with the sixty pounds of apples we typically bring home from our excursion? Some are destined for apple pies, others are destined for applesauce, and some are fed through the juicer to create the best apple juice I’ve ever tasted.

Apple juice has many health benefits that make it a great option for regular consumption. Apples are full of antioxidants and important vitamins and minerals that the body needs to grow and heal. The nutrients in apples have also been shown to assist in the regulation of blood sugar and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Here are some great juice recipes for fall that contain apple juice.

Apple Crisp Juice Recipe

Ingredients

5 Apples
2 stalks of Celery
2 Oranges (peeled)

Directions

Process all ingredients in a juicer, shake or stir and serve.

Full Immunity Juice Recipe

Ingredients

1 Apple
2 Carrots
2 cloves of Garlic
1 thumb Ginger Root (1″ dia)
1 handful of Parsley

Ingredients

1 Apple
4 Carrots
1 thumb Ginger Root (1″ dia)

1 Apple
1 Beet Root (golden)
1 thumb Ginger Root
1/2 Lemon
2 slices of Pineapple
A dash of Pumpkin Pie Spice
